Minecraft Server Rules

General Information

Rules are enforced based on intent, not loopholes. Because it is impossible to list every possible rule violation, players are expected to use common sense. Staff have been properly trained, and all warnings and punishments are issued at staff discretion.

You are fully responsible for the security of your Minecraft account. Do not share your account with anyone, and keep your login details secure. Any actions performed on your account are your responsibility.

If you believe a staff member has abused their permissions, you may submit a Staff Report with proper evidence at (eggsmphelp@gmail.com). Staff reports are strictly for reporting misconduct and not for appealing punishments.

If you wish to appeal a punishment without accusing staff of wrongdoing, you may submit a Ban or Mute Appeal through (eggsmphelp@gmail.com).

Private Messages

Staff do not actively monitor private or voluntary chats. These chats are generally managed by the players involved, and group leaders are expected to moderate their own spaces. However, private and group chats are not exempt from the rules.

In certain situations, staff may take action based on information from these chats if it is reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis. Serious rule violations, malicious behavior, or misconduct may always result in punishment regardless of where they occur.

Private messages are typically only reviewed if they are reported or sent directly to staff. If a player reports inappropriate behavior from private messages (such as /msg, /tell, or /r) and provides evidence, staff may issue punishment accordingly.

Evasion

Attempting to bypass or evade restrictions placed on your account, including mutes, bans, or other limitations, is strictly prohibited. The severity of the punishment for evasion will depend on both the original offense and any additional behavior involved.

General guidelines for punishment evasion include:

  • Evasion without further rule violations will typically result in punishment continuing at the next step of the original offense’s punishment path.
  • Evasion combined with minor or moderate rule violations will generally follow the same punishment path as the original offense.
  • Evasion involving major rule violations will typically result in punishment under the Toxic Behavior category.
  • Evasion combined with cheating-related violations may result in punishment under the Malicious Terms of Service category, depending on the player’s history.
  • Evasion of permanent punishments will be treated as a Malicious Terms of Service violation.

Alt Limits

Since many of our players join from Bedrock and mobile, limiting gameplay to one account per player helps ensure everyone progresses on equal footing. These limits may be adjusted during special events and will be communicated at that time.

EggSMP Network Rules

Punishment paths are not guaranteed step-by-step progressions and may be escalated for repeated or severe behavior.

Staff reserve the right to adjust punishments based on context, intent, history, and severity. Punishment paths are guidelines and may be accelerated, skipped, or modified at staff discretion.
